This story follows Ellis Mitchell a senior in high school that is uprooted from her life in New York City when her parents decide to separate. Her and her mother end up in Bramble Falls, Connecticut, a small town where everyone knows everyone and their business. Oh, and they take fall very seriously. When Ellis finds herself living in her aunt’s attic and forced to make new friends at a new school, she’s bitter to no end, that is until she sees Cooper Barnett, her friend from one summer, years ago. Cooper doesn’t want to have anything to do with Ellis and she has no idea why, making things at school very awkward, until they are forced to volunteer together at one of the town’s many weekend fall festivals.

The first in it’s series, Falling Like Leaves, sets a tone for a very loveable series. According to author, Misty Wilson, “Bramble Falls will be a four book series, one for each season…Book 2 is Falling Like Snow, and it is Sloane’s [Ellis’s cousin] winter romance, currently scheduled for fall/winter of 2026.”
