Sandwich

Sandwich by Catherine Newman is a beautifully written story about a woman named Rocky in her mid-50s struggling to find peace as she watches her kids grow up and her own parents decline.

The story takes place during their family vacation in Cape Cod where Rocky is given the opportunity to bond with her adult children who have moved out of the house and all of the drama that comes with that of a woman going through menopause. This story is relatable, emotional, and is the perfect summer read! I would recommend this to anyone, but maybe the most relatable to a mother in her mid-50s. 10/10 would read again!
