The Ghostwriter

This was my first Julie Clark book and I’m so glad that I picked it up. There’s a blurb on the front cover from author Ashley Elston that says, “expertly plotted and exquisitely twisted.” That is what kept me engaged and wanting more.

The Ghostwriter follows the story of the Taylor family, who was rocked by the double murder of two of the siblings in 1975. The only surviving sibling was the middle child, Vincent, who spends the remainder of his life facing accusations and whispers that he was the one that murdered his siblings.

After 50 years of silence, he’s ready to tell the story of what happened. To do so, he hires his estranged daughter Olivia, who is a ghostwriter facing some complications in her career.

Faced with the fact that her father is ill and his memory is failing, Olivia must try to find out answers to questions about what really happened, without breaking her contract.

This book is definitely a 5 star read.
