Birthday Girl

Did I intentionally save this book until my birthday was close? ABSOLUTELY!

Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas, is an insanely spicy, age gap romance that is an absolute must read if you like an age gap romance. The story opens with 19 year-old Jordan, attempting to call her boyfriend, Cole to ensure that he will be available to pick her up from her shift at the bar (on her birthday). Unable to reach him, she walks down the street to the movie theater for a midnight showing of Evil Dead. After she spills her box of wine and her phone goes sliding down to the rows in front of her, she meets a good looking man with whom she watches the movie with. After the movie, Jordan finally gets a call from Cole, and “handsome man” overhears. Turns out, “handsome man” is Cole’s father!!!

Cole’s actions get Jordan and him kicked out of their apartment and they are forced to move in with Pike (“handsome man”). Cole and Jordan must pull their weight in chores to justify moving in with Pike to save up money for their own place. After a while, feelings begin to brew between Jordan and Pike, but obviously nothing can happen because Jordan and Cole are together and Pike is Cole’s father.

When Jordan catches Cole cheating on her, it changes everything. Cole takes off forcing Jordan and Pike to be alone in the house together and well.. i promise the rest is worth the read!
